While this issue did get a bit convoluted in its attempt to reconcile the different versions of Firestorm and bring Ronnie Raymond fully back into the DC Universe, it pays off in the end. The stops are pulled out entirely by putting Firestorm in head-to-head battle with the Anti-Monitor, and while the quick pile-up of self-sacrifice happens rather easily for something that should be taking place in the heat of the moment, the resolution is at least a respectful end to the professor and a more cohesive pairing between Ronnie and Jason. So, overall it's a little bit scattered throughout, but since this issue seemingly redefines the character of Firestorm, that may have been unavoidable. In the end, it's another satisfying piece to Brightest Day and continues the full-speed-ahead pace of the series.
