What an incredibly violent issue this was, considering it was supposed to be a down issue before things got ramped up. I really enjoyed it, as I have the entire series, but a little bit of joy wouldn’t be unappreciated. I loved the opening sequence with Pre Wiz and the emptying of the evidence of the team from the previous arc. I love that the resurrected companion is being treated like furniture. The stuff with Frenchman and The Female’s scene was pretty heavy if you’ve been following the series from the start. I think Hughie and Annie plot has run as far as it needs. Their hidding stuff from each other is the stuff of 70’s comics and has no place here. I love the subtleness of Robertson’s art, from the subtle hint of stubble on Hughie’s head to intimacy of Butcher threatening Rayner at the end. The ads say the first 30 were nothing compared to what’s coming. I can’t wait to see what it is.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
