Sending Booster back in time to the days of the JLI was such continuity porn for longtime DC fans, I missed the way these characters interacted and the general light tone of the DC Universe at the time. A great moment happens when Cyborg derides him for causing public damage and Booster finally loses his cool and tells Cyborg to stfu and stop dissing the JLI, even though they're looked at as a joke team now they still saved the world while Cyborg "was playing Teen Idol". I love Keith Giffen and though I have a ridiculous amount of respect for Jurgens, Giffen is the definitive Booster writer.
One last thing Giffen makes a big point of making Max Lord a good guy that got screwed because of DC Editorial.
