I like the classic tone of this book. The 4 issue structure, the cameos
and history of the characters. Just the feel that, while there are
modern sensibilities here, it isn’t too far from what Jurgens was doing
in the late 80’s with the original ongoing series.

I like the little
things like Skeets going to Vic and giving the cover story and probably
doing a better job of it than Michael would.

I really enjoyed the art
here. I do want to say that why do people always get all flummoxed with
Kori when she’s in a bikini? It’s not like she wears that much more
when she’s actually in costume.

And why would Sinestro be in the JLA,
even if he’s still a GL? He’s from a different sector. It’s just little
things, but the thing about that is, little things make a series
excellent or shitty.

I liked the stuff with Beetle. He’s a really
interesting character, and the predictability of the story is fine
because they’re obviously still trying to find the pace for short back
up stories. These first 2 stories have felt more like 1 issue cut into
thirds. Art is pretty solid though.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
