Sometimes a comic comes around and its not the flashiest, but with solid art and great writing it continues each month to just be great. The problem is that those are the comics we take for granted each time. With this issue we wrap up about a year’s worth of story and what a year its been. Booster, the often regarded as a joke hero, emerges as a noble and heroic figure. I think some of the appeal of Booster is the reflection he is on us. The person who isn’t taken seriously but trying to do our best.

   On a personal note this particular issue really helped. There are moments when I remember why I read comics, and yesterday was one of them. I was bemoaning the fact that in my line of work (social service) I didn’t feel like I made a difference and no one noticed. In the heart wrenching/warming scene with Booster and Batman I was reinvigorated. The idea that all of us even heroes question whether or not we are a “joke” but in the end are doing the right thing is wonderful.

 Take a moment and re read that scene with with Batman and Booster, if that doesn’t make you want to go out and make the world a little better of a place I don’t know what will.
