In comic history, a normal teenager was bitten by a radiated insect and was given special powers. That teenager is now one of the most popular super heroes. Now, we have Jamie Reyes a normal teenager who found a special rock on the way home from school. That rock turned out to be an alien robotic scarab that fused with Reyes spine and then he became the super hero Blue Beatle.

The thing that makes him unique as a super hero is he knows he can not do it by himself. His family, friends and allies know that he is a super hero and give him support. His parents and friends protect his identity and give him advice. Peacekeeper, his trainer and sometimes bodyguard protects and guides him in his trials as a hero. Also, he has his alien A.I knows as Khaji Da that helps him utilize his power to its true potential.

As a super hero Jamie had to deal with a magical powered gang, a crime boss that is also his best friends Aunt and an alien invasion that only Jamie seems to know is happening. He has to deal with everything from super power magical beast , to dealing with the immigration policy and trying to get his homework done. Jamie Reyes has a potential to become a great super hero and that what keeps me buying the books.
