  1. Tomasi knows Grayson. I read the close of his work on Nightwing, and it’s as if he never missed a beat. Combine that with his work on GL Corp and he begins to draw upon both those worlds on the canvas to create something truly inspired.

It’s almost as if Tomasi wrote this to be a jumping on point for those hesitant to read Blackest Night (you know, those four people in the country), as well as bridging the goings on in the Batbooks.

His Deadman is just great, especially as the narrator. He provides insight as to the world of the dead and being an anchor in Gotham. Tomasi does well in setting up two circus performers in Dick and Deadman.

Kubert’s art flows well, though it took me awhile to figure out which Robin he was using. His Damien felt a bit older, and I nearly mistook him for Tim. Still very tight with his pencils.

    Overall great book.

  2. Ack, sorry I meant to write that on my own review.

But I do agree w/ you on missing Tomasi on Nightwing.
