Black Panther continues to be one of the best books that Marvel is producing.  David Liss and Francesco Francavilla have made Black Panther a street level character that matters.  After all of the paces that T’Challa has been put through, this Fear Itself tie-in puts him against his greatest threat yet: The Hate Monger.  With the events of last issue leaving T’Challa and co. in prison, this issue opens on his release and the beginning of T’Challas battle with The Hate Monger.  What’s great about this issue is that we see T’Challa growing as a character, and Liss writes these moments perfectly.  The lead up to the climax of the issue is great, and the issue ends with a great cliffhanger that has me wanting even more.  Francavilla’s art is sensational in this issue.  The pages carry his signature style and coloring, and it’s perfect for all of the madness taking place on the streets of Hell’s Kitchen.  Hell’s Kitchen truly looks like hell in this book as the fires rage and burn the city.  The heat radiates off of the page, and Francavilla’s look adds a touch of desperation to the panels.  It’s so perfect a fit, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.  Hopefully, these guys will be on this book for a long while.
