I have really been enjoying this series so far, and this issue continues that trend.  I know that some have complained of the wordiness of the issues, but I find it refreshing as each issue feels dense and meaty.  I don’t feel like I’m wasting my money with this series.  The star of the series has been Francavilla, who has been killing it on art.  As advertised, he took this issue off, and it finds Jeff Palo on art duties.  While his art wasn’t overly bad, I missed Fracavilla.  Palo’s pencils ranged from sketchy to detailed.  I liked his figures and non-costumed people better than I did his hero drawing.  There are several panels where Spider-Man or Black Panther look weird.  The storytelling was really solid, and if he were to remain on the series, his art wouldn’t much of a deterrent.  Liss continues to write an interesting story, and as Spider-Man points out in the issue, it’s interesting to see just how much Panther continues to be like Murdock.  It’s like the Kitchen turns heroes into loners.  It’s fun though to watch the drama play out, and Vlad is an amazingly interesting villain.  I’m excited to see where this story goes, and as long as this level of quality continues, I’ll be with the Panther for quite some time.

Story: 4 - Very Good
