A much more interesting read than the first issue of Minutemen, this is a well-written story about the mother/daughter relationships of The Silk Spectres. This character study seems much more suited to Cooke’s strengths, and Conner’s art is the perfect vehicle here.

Were this the first issue of a Vertigo or Image comic with no history, I’d be looking forward to the second issue to see where it goes. But, given the whole Watchmen controversy, I’m looking forward to the second issue to see where it goes.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
