This is the only Before Watchmen comic I am reading at the moment, and I am totally in love with everything this review of Issue #3 points out. The art by Jae Lee is worthy of Golden Age comics; you gasp at some of the visuals when you turn the page. I also love the characterization of the title character as a pure narcissist; he is an anti-hero most focused on impressing himself then saving mankind. This isn’t an admirable trait in real life of course, but it explains the thoughts behind his ultimate destiny and fate. His narcissism is in the same vein as why we celebrate Darth Vader and Hannibal Lector. We want to understand what makes him tick and also see his fall when it comes. Jae Lee, the artist, is one I know i need to see more from!

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
