I thought this was another fantastic issue. One thing I've noticed is that each issue of this has been very different than the others in style, but they tell a cohesive story. I don't know if that is intentional or not, but it works. This had a great take on the classic "superhero interrogates/intimidates/beats the truth out of a perp" scene. Oops, sorry, I forgot I left you up there! And we can almost see the wheels turning in the police officers' heads as they riddle this one out. The closing segment is chilling, especially given the headlines of the last few months. Although this book never shies away from the bloody truth (how about that opening segment!), I think it was brilliant to not show the action and carnage. It made it that much more horrifying in our minds.
I was talking with someone at the LCS last week about Rossmo's art. I think it is sort of polarizing - you either love it or hate it, there's not a lot of middle ground. I think it's perfect for this book, but some find it too "scratchy." He's doing his own thing, though, and it's unique.
The Frazer Irving covers have been wonderful. Beautiful yet ominous.

The art is pretty neutral for me. I can find it a little hard to decode a lot of the time, but there’s no arguing that it fits the tone of the book.
The art is what made me interested in the book. I picked up issue #1 and was drawn (no pun intended) into the black/white/and reds.
