IGN gave this book a horrible review. Frankly, I don’t think it was deserved.

As with the first issue, this one left me feeling confused and intimidated. I think there is a very interesting concept buried somewhere in the meat of this book, but we haven’t gotten there yet.

The art is a style that is not my favorite, hence the weak score, but is internally consistent.

I walked away from this book willing to read more, but not necessarily wanting to. I will buy the next book.

This series seems to have potential, at the very least because it’s unique.

  1. I think this book did a good job at laying down more of the framework of the story. Almost as if issue 1 was background and lead up. Seems like there is a lot more to this story than meets than eye, and these meetings and the doctor might be major subjects. It keeps throwing twists, that like you, keep me wanting more, but maybe not sure why. I think I just want to see what happens next, and will buy the next issue too. The art, on the other hand, is awesome IMO. That 2 page spread with the puzzle pieces and rats was great. Gritty and harsh, just like the story. I think its a perfect fit. I can definitely see why some people wouldn’t like this series though.
