This series started out so great and was exactly what I expected with the fabulous JH William art and layouts Sadly, Batwoman #9 is the weakest issue of this so far. This is not the Batwoman book I want. Granted the art is fine and is serviceable and the story okay if this was Detective Comics or The Dark Knight title. However they sold us on JH Williams art and without his art and great layouts, this book is nothing special and just another bat-book in an already bloated Bat-world. JH Williams’ artwork on this book has been incredible and completely the draw here. I would gladly accept this book as an every other month release and a $3.99 price if we could have JH williams art all the time. Which is the entire reason for this series to even exist at all.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 3 - Good

  1. Unfortunately an every-other-month release would through the numbering out of whack with the New 52 and lose the book readers, confuse people etc. but I much prefer it with JHW3 on art obviously. I like McCarthy much better than Reeder though. Still one of my favourite books
