JH Williams is a great artist. Get that out of the way right up front. This issue alone has some great page layouts, but no panel was as striking as two unexpected guests in Kates kitchen. And for the first time since the relaunch the story is as good as the art.

As it’s the end of an Arc, Batwoman does the expected and defeats her opponent, but she’s only won a battle not the the war. The two writers used the last four issues as set up for this, to put Batwoman in this unpleasant situation. A lot of hints where dropped about what’s to come, none of which sounds pleasent for Kate, but a lot of fun for us.

Hopefully the next arc will deliver on this momentum, plus Amy Reeder…yay!

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 1 - Poor
