Forgive the metaphor but back in September, Batwoman was like that pretty girl you see every day but never talk to.

Finally one day you work up the nerve to talk to her and it turns out as pretty as she is, she’s even more interesting to talk to.

The first six issues of this title was just about the perfect book; the art, the layout and the story all complimented each other to make a book that was usually my pick for book of the week.

Now it turns out that this pretty girl wasn’t nearly as interest as I first thought.

I said last month, I’ll say it again this month; the broken timeline storytelling is crushing this book. I can barely keep up and it seems an awful lot like it’s not really moving along.

I’m sticking around but just barely, mostly because of the upcoming Wonder Woman x-over.

They need to get rid of the broken timeline and fast. Because there’s a fine line these days between a regular botw contender and a book that isn’t selling enough to go on.

  1. Good point about the broken timelines. For me, the constant supernatural elements have been starting to lose their appeal. Though I did like what they did with Killer Croc this issue.

You’re also right about the fist six issues; fantastic stuff.
