See what I’m getting at here – talent ebbs and flows my friends. I hated Catwoman but loving Batwing. Winick is playing his hand close to chest on this book and is going all-in. There is not one wasted panel or silly detour into perversitity in Batwing, This comic is all business and reads like a thunderbolt.

If you were put off by the location of this book, don’t be, Africa turns out to be just as menacing as Gotham and the main villain here is relentless. Dude just walks into a school and starts reaking havoc. He does not give a fuck and it’s pretty unnerving stuff. Good thing Batwing is on the case.
