Yes! This issue exemplifies exactly what I enjoy about the series. Batman faces a familiar foe, Scarecrow, doing the same kind of thing Scarecrow always does, nothing special right? Wrong. Crazed steroid Batman vs. Superman anyone? I read this book for 2 things, a wacky, simplistic Batman story, and an inordinate number of Dc Hero cameos.
The first issue of this book left people feeling unimpressed, it was different from the other Bat books but not different enough. I think what the Dark Knight team hes established here is a fun, somewhat light hearted (comparatively) corner of the DCnU that is perfectly welcome in my book.
Its like cotton candy people; fluffy, light, steroids filled cotton candy. Avoid comparisons and over analyzing and you might find that you enjoy it.

All the cameos was the reason I started reading this book. DC is trying to establish a new, shared universe, but so far this is the only book I’ve read that ties all the Justice League heroes together in a book besides “Justice League” itself.
No cameos in Superman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern or Batman proper, as far as I know. We’ve had 5 months of issues, surely SOMEone could’ve shown up in one of their teammates’s books.
Also, good job getting on the podcast.
