Now that Scarecrow has Batman chained up and helpless, he’s going to test his fear toxin on Batman that causes him to view some painful memories along with Scarecrow’s stuttering voice talking to him. But we also view Scarecrow’s past and how his life lead him to end up being the way he is. It’s always interesting to see what kind of careers/personalities villains had prior to going nuts, or in Scarecrow’s case more nuts. Scarecrow also tells Batman that they seem to have a lot in common except for one thing.

Gregg Hurwitz is a genius because he knows how to write from a villians perspective, and David Finch’s beautiful art compliments the story perfectly!
