I know I am not the first to say this, but future Damian Batman needs his own series. Batman #666 was my favorite issue of Morrison's epic run, and this sequel of sorts doesn't disappoint, as "Arkham Asylum" assumes a fresh and ironic transformation in this apocalyptic vision of Gotham. Morrison is all about the subtle details, and this issue contains a few nods to Yeat's "Second Coming" (Featured in Batman #666): "If you become Batman" Bruce explains to his son, "Everything falls apart". Chris Burnham does some great work here, channeling his inner-Goya in order to bring to life a Gotham City on the verge of collapse. Excellent stuff.
