This was a disappointing turn of events. It’s one thing to have expository dialogue, but when one character is telling another character things they both already know, only for our benefit, it’s on a whole other level. I actually wound up just skimming the book after the first few pages because I was totally out of the story at that point. The one nice moment in this where a certain vehicle shows up unexpectedly was not enough to redeem an otherwise run of the mill and poorly written story.  One less Bat book I need to read, I guess.
