It may be kind of bone-headed, but I had to read this twice to figure out who died. I mean, in hindsight it's obvious... since REMAC got 'sploded... but I was thrown by "an Outsider dies!" As far as him being an Outsider, he's the equivalent of a red shirt on the Enterprise. A guy who was helping Batman with some computer stuff and sandwich eating that got semi-incorporated into the team because he got stuck in a robut body. No real emotional attachment there. In fact, I feel a strong disconnect from this book. A lot has been thrown at us in this run, and due to writers changing over, not everything that's been thrown against the wall has stuck. In that, I don't even know what I'm supposed to care about or remember any more. Now that the tie-in is done, I'll give this another issue or two to turn around before I decide if I'm dropping it or not. Blah.
