WOW

Let me start by saying I wasn’t a huge fan the last issue of Batman Incorporated, But this, this book, this issue…blew me away. I find myself usually leaning more towards story then art but not here.
The premise is known, there aren’t any turn or surprises, which allows the reader to focus on the art and the emotions this character must be going through. The art was beautiful, it truly conveyed the pain felt by this father.
I love the panel with the criminals faces in the rips of Batman’s cape, the panels where Batman is biting his lip in order not to loose it and Alfred loosing it. I especially thought the panels where batman is remembering his son in the bat-mobile, sliding down the pole and swinging through Gotham were emotionally moving.
It was a great issue that plucked at your heart and you are left to feel sympathy for this strong character; a feeling not often felt when dealing with Batman.
Robin will be missed by many, but most of all by his Father-the man who taught him “how to live”

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 5 - Excellent
