  1. I like the art, but totally agree that the "story" is just a jumbled mess of random thoughts with no cohesion/narrative … like most Morrison’s recent Batman stuff.

  2. I concur.  This issue is typical Morrison and quite frankly I am tired of it.  I try so hard to get into him because fellow comic readers give his run such praise.  I simply do not care for the jump around and odd twists he throws in there.  I am dropping this book… again.

  3. It is a little frustrating considering I like Return of Bruce Wayne so much. Oh well.

  4. I can certainly think it’s fair game to call Morrison out for his complexity, overcomplicatedness, and twisty story, but to say that there is no "cohesion/narrative is just flat-out false. Theres "cohesion" because the same ideas always swirl around every Morrison Batman comic, and with every issue we understand a little more about their interconnected nature. And there is also a "narrative": but it’s a huge one with many side-branches and possible pasts and futures. We slowly learn what all the connections are between these things. If that doesn’t entice you as a reader, that’s certainly understandable.

But WadeWilson you’ve been banging your head against this wall month after month for years now on this stuff. You were part of the "Final Crisis IS TOTALLY INCOMPREHENSIBLE!" crowd, even though there are a ton of websites explaining every bit of it (not that I think FC is "classic", though). And you’re certainly entitled to your views, but it seems like all you do whenever Morrison comes up is post with sadomasochistic glee just so you can lodge another false "this makes NO SENSE because I personally can’t fine any!" barrage. It’s sad. I’m sorry that difficult, complicated non-linear storytelling bothers you so much that you need to do this as a coping strategy, forever.
