Damian is terrifying. A honed and calculating killer, trained from birth to rule the world, and utterly devoid of the humanity that drives Bruce.

Bruce was forged by vengeance. He at least remains tethered to goodness by the memory of the love of his parents, the rearing he received from Alfred, and an impulse to right the wrongs of the world like the murder of his parents.

The only slim thread connecting Damian to anything resembling goodness, is his sharing in the Wayne gene pool. The excitement of a character like Damian is not only that he is physically and intellectually capable of almost anything, but rather that he is still such a blank slate that he is morally capable of almost anything as well.

In the last panel, he has a sword to Bruce’s throat. And, obviously we know that he doesn’t kill his father. But, I never doubt for a second that he’s capable of doing it.
