Tony Daniel is getting better an issue at a time.  But while this is, technically, not a bad issue, Daniel has just tried to cram way too much back story, and far too many characters into this issue.  He doesn’t have the mastery that Morrison has at weaving in multiple storylines without really needing to explain them, so he has to tile the page with narration boxes explaining how this character you may or not remember from No Man’s Land is connected to such and such a character from Under The Hood, and how in Knightfall they had a falling out with villain #3, and, dear God, I’m exhausted just from reading it. Exhausted.  Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxhausted.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Tony Bedard, huh. If you’re going to criticize his writing, you could at least read his name right! 😉

  2. Tony Daniel is just a muppet controlled by Tony Bedard.  Didn’t you know that?  Geeze, I thought you were informed.

Read: I am correcting my overtired typo.

Really, though, he should be happy that I got his name wrong.  Happpppppppppppppppppppppy.
