Well that was creepy.

A crazed wooden dummy that is controlled by a psychotic young woman bent on violence lends this book a twisted, horror feel. The dialogue is scary and funny and hits all the right notes. Simone has a great voice for Barbara Gordon as someone wanting to be good but feeling like she never measures up. This was a great take on a villain that updates the story while also making it relevant to the protagonist. The art was alright. So many artists make Barbara and her mom look so similar that until you’re halfway through a written conversation, its unclear who you’re looking at. Other than minor quibbles, this book continues to impress.

Story: 4 - Very Good
