I think I finally figured out what the style this book is going for.
It’s Joe Kelly trying to do a Chuck Palahniuk book. It has a weird hook
that focuses on something seemingly innocuous but when put under a spot
light, it becomes something seedy and weird. I really wish there wasn’t
a 3 page song and dance spread in every issue as it really just feels
like filler most of the time. The art isn’t doing anything for me. It’s
that same style that Todd Nauck does, which is overly stylized and not
at all pleasing.
