I’ll admit that I wasn’t completely sold on this book during the first arc. It was fun, and self-aware enough that it didn’t become complete parody, I kept reading due to my love of X-23, Nico and to a certain extent some of the other kids. However, the last 2 issues of the first arc kicked it into high gear and characterized the Braddock Academy kids a bit more. Also, the Arcade issue was pretty funny. The second arc is off to a great start, mostly because Kev Walker is back after a brief hiatus. I’m still not completely sold on Hopeless’ writing, some of the characterization is still a little off…but what are you going to do when the last time people saw some of these characters was when BKV was writing them? Overall this is a really promising start to the next arc of this book.

Story: 3 - Good
