1st review here, so here goes nothing….

This book picks up right after last issue’s cliffhanger of splitting up the Braddock Academy and further defines the dickish personality of Kid Briton, but also shed new light on how manipulatable the kids can be. Gotta remember that these are teenagers, and they don’t always think things through, which is exactly how we arrived at the final pages of the book. I enjoyed what occurred, and am eagerly await the next issue, as I believe we finally find out how Arcade got so powerful.

And to top it all off, I tremendously enjoy the letters page, where the author gamely answers each printed letter, and sometimes you can get further insight based upon his responses.

Avengers Arena has been the first comic I read out of my stack since its been published. I look forward to reading more of this book. Needless to say, I’m loving this.

  1. Great point about the letter column — Dennis seems like a cool, straight-forward dude.
