AA continues to hold my attention. This issue, we learn more about the cast of characters, via some well-executed flashbacks. Contrary to the outcry of some fans when the series launched, the focus isn’t on senseless killings. Instead, the book focuses on building up and developing a roster of Marvel’s B and C-list characters. This is what makes Avengers Academy great: Rather than use the cast as throw-away canon-fodder, the book is building up a group of characters I would have otherwise never heard of or cared about.

PS- The art rocks.
