This was a pretty good comic. Brining the Young Allies together with the Avenger’s Academy. It was a great story and if it wasn’t for it’s one problem, I would have thought this was the best thing this week. The events in this issue take place before the Korvac storyline in Avenger’s Academy. And I love this storyline. As always, everyone gets a chance to shine. They fight an established villain in the Marvel Hierarchy, and of course our heroes shine through. The art is great, the pages express exactly what they should express, without being so outrageous that they distract from the storyline. The writing is great too, the players all work in every scene, and they don’t ever seem out of place. All in all, a great book, with one exception. EIGHT FRIGGING DOLLARS?!?!?!? Ok, DC puts out 100 page books for less than this. I have worked with the idea of $3 and $4 books, ok, whatever. But $8? That’s a new record. I would say, no matter how great this one-shot book is, it is NOT worth $8. Great book, but Marvel has gotten greedy since Disney bought them. Shame… I would give this a 5/5 rating, but that cost totally ruins this book.

  2. I guess DC has upped the cost of their 100 page books to equal this.  To be honest, if this were a 3 issue book, for $3 each, I would have prefered that, Mostly because $3 a month isn’t a big deal for 3 months, but $8 makes me hate the issue.
