Thank goodness Timothy Green 2nd did the art for this issue. The past artist kinda made the book harder for me to enjoy. I loved how he draws X-23 and Hank Pym. Christi’s Gage is a decent writer. I feel like I’ve seen enough teenagers fighting adults for what they believe in cliché movies so this arc is a little cheesy to me, but I don’t think it’s bad at all. AVX has introduced me to The Avengers Academy and after AVX is over, I won’t continue reading because it’s not something I’ll probably be interested in once A & B list characters go away. What I found ironic about this issue was that the roles of the AVengers and X-Men has switched. Emma Frost is trying to destroy Sentinel for what he is as the human’s have been trying to do to mutants and the students were telling Emma their problems with their powers, or in one guy’s case their sexuality, as they tried to combat her. After all the useless fighting and talking is over there’s a “life changing event” that happens that will lead to the next issue. Excited? Meh.
