Ever wonder what became of the once mighty Skrull empire since the secret
invasion?
Me neither, but all we know now is that their numbers have dwindled and that the
remaining warlords have been In a power struggle for quite some time now. The
Avengers this time around are being used as foot soldiers rather than
consultants or leaders, they made alliances with the most unlikely armies and
even with great numbers they still can’t catch a break and actually do something
of importance rather than spending almost a whole issue In a war room trying to
figure out what the hell is going on. And how they can solve said singularity.
Hickmans writing on this was solid and for once it wasn’t his fault. Leinil
Francis Yu’s art felt pretty rushed and rugged as if he was putting out half the
effort.
The book in its entirety felt like filler, but at least it was entertaining
filler for the fans I guess.
