Forgetting the fact that this issue had 2 back ups that, putting it
nicely, sucked donkey balls, this was an interesting little issue. It
was probably the most continuity heavy issue of DnA’s run on the book.
As much as I like DnA’s Marvel work, they just seem way too hamstrung
to make anything worthwhile on this book. The post apocalyptic stuff
was interesting in concept but very little of it is good in practice. I
really liked seeing all the old Ellis villains shown and it was
interesting to see why Hawksmoor was the way he was. I guess my major
qualm with this, is how powerful the WS universe is, but nothing has
been or can be fixed to bring the world out of it’s downward spiral.
The art was pretty good. I really liked the fluidity of the Albion’s
sword fight. I really enjoyed the evil joy that Gamorra had in this
issue.

The fact of the matter is, all the powerful beings you’re referring to have either been compromised, are missing, or are having their efforts to rebuild interfered with which is why this end of the world scenario can’t simply be "fixed". But I’m glad they’re not making it easy to fix. That’s what’s making it interesting. 🙂
