I’ve been a big fan of the Authority and Wildstorm’s Worlds End ever since jumping into comics about a year ago. Brandon Badeaux’s arts is beautiful and wonderfully detailed. He accomplishes beautiful images that to me seem evocative of Simone Bianchi but the coloring is much more vibrant and drawn in a way that only adds to the telling of the story. This is the first comic since I’ve come back to the medium that I would buy just for the art.

The story provides some great emotional, ‘oh sh*t’ scenes that have only been alluded to so far in the World’s End books. This “interlude” issue could have easily been a snoozer but through the stunning artwork and gut wrenching flashbacks to the armageddon this is by far my pick of the week.
