This is definitely the worst Astro City book I have ever read.  I am not one bit pleased and I got this trade for only $8.99 (plus tax in NJ).

I can’t even tell you what it is about because there was so much stuff happening, yet so much of it was so dull and hardly memorable whatsoever.  I often found myself having to go back and read the last few panels again because I was having a hard time keeping my interest in this.  My eyes felt heavy like I hadn’t slept in days. 

I hope Book Three of The Dark Ages puts a little pep in this story’s step or this is going to make for 16 issues of shit.  I got Book Three issues one and two now, I just can’t picture myself putting them in front of my eyes anytime this week.  I’m so bored with this.

Even Brent Andersen’s art seems a little rushed. 

If you are the fellow who has to see every single part of the Astro City picture, then by all means try and read this as fast as you can before you pass out.  Otherwise, go see what they got poppin in Vertigo-land…
