ASTRO CITY THE DARK AGE BOOK THREE #3 (OF 4)

This issue was decent, but for a book like AC, that is tantamount to
saying it’s horrible.

I’ve been following this book since it went
ongoing for Homage years ago. I went back and picked up the trade and
the 1/2 one shot and they were by far some of the best super hero stuff
I’ve ever read in my life.

Now, it’s just another book on my pile. It
isn’t the slice of life stories that were intriguing and unique that
hinted at something bigger, it’s a linear story that follows characters
that I honestly don’t care one whit about about.

 This issue cleared up
one of the big hanging plot lines of the series, the fate of Silver
Agent, but it was such an incidental thing, it didn’t feel like it had
any weight to it.

I still love Brent Anderson’s art on this book, and
this issue was a lot better than normal, but overall, I’ve felt more
and more disappointed as this series progresses.

Story: 3 - Good
