Maybe I'd enjoy this a bit more if it hadn't seemed like a leap year came and went since the last issue. Also, the fact that there's a "Xenogenesis" mini weaving in and out of the "Astonishing" brand doesn't help matters. The Jimenez art sells the bigness of Ellis's story, but I guess I'm left with the constant impression (that doubtless is driven from editorial) that the author has to hammer home Cyclops's new direction with authority. I get it -- just tell your story, please. And who the hell is that in the wheelchair, at the end? I don't read Uncanny, so I don't know if that's the real Chuck X or an impostor...
