It is unbelievable but Aquaman is one of the new 52s that I like more. Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Who would’ve guessed?

On this issue, Geoff Johns continues his Geoffjohnsesses and builds a story for the future of Aquaman. Who are this characters? Who is this Shin guy? Black Manta is creepy and really really evil. This is clearly a first or second chapter issue but if you have read Geoff Johns stuff on the past, you know that something great is coming. And with Aquaman! Isn’t this amazing?

The art is just perfect for this title. The armor of Aquaman and Mera looks like royalty. You can feel the waves and he draws perfect interaction of the characters with the water.

The only thing I don’t like about this issue is that it is very fast. Not much happens. If it wasn’t Geoff Johns maybe I wouldn’t be so enthusiastic. But it is. And it’s great.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

  1. I agree not much happened but the beginning pages had me a little confused, I will re read the issue tonight. Art work continues to be off the hook!
