In the end, what is there left to say about ANIMAL MAN? The quality of this series has been so consistently high that it’s hard to find complaint with it.

I do think I prefer Pugh’s art to Foreman’s, though maybe he’s not quite as adept at the macabre and creepy – then again, this issue isn’t quite as macabre and creepy as many previous ones.

Even though this is the start of a new arc, it’s not a great jumping on point – if you haven’t read ANIMAL MAN yet, but want to, you’d be better off checking out the TPB of the first six issues. But if you’re already on board, then I hardly need to tell you you’ll enjoy this.
