As usual, the characterizations are what keep me glued to this book. The family interactions are always real, in particular the cool “father and son impressing the girls” scene. The plot is moving forward slowly and I’m fine with that. I don’t need every issue to be action packed. Lemire’s pace has never been a problem for me.

I’ve loved Foreman’s art from the beginning and it will be sad to see him go. I do like what I saw of Pugh here as well, but I wish the issue had gone one way or another with the art. The switch is jarring and distracting. It’s not just stylistically different. I actually wasn’t sure if Ellen, in particular, was the same character, even though the scene hadn’t changed. All in all, a good book, but it was disappointing that the exit of one great artist and the entrance of another great artist was marred by this contrast of styles.
