Christos Gage and interiors artist Rebekah Isaacs have really got something good going on here. This really feels like a Whedon production- its got the dialogue, action, over-arcing storylines…I have to say, I am surprised to find myself enjoying this a bit more than the current S9 Buffy book- which, two books in, is really stalling out in first gear. This has captured the ‘detective mode’ Buffyverse very well. And plus, Isaacs uses these little squiggles on the ends of characters noses, which just makes Angel that much more endearing. Her artwork is spot on- wish I could say that for Jeanty.
