An absolutely beautiful book if nothing else. Byrne can really put
together a page like no one’s business. The pencil work on this book is
more amazing than anything he’s done in 5 or more years. Astounding.
The story however, less so much. The first 2 issues were very solid,
but this one felt predictable and cliche. It was even worse than that
because he was using the lame pseudo profanity that was popular for
Marvel in the late 70’s. Men that kill for a living probably aren’t
going to censor themselves by saying devil and blazes when they
obviously mean hell and fuck.I know that Whedon books are characterized by sudden and innevitable betrayals, but this one was too telegraphed for my tastes.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 3 - Good
