Just the other day I was watching the ifanboy video episode about the best first issues.When they were talking about  Rising stars, I thought about this series. Sure did take a huge nose dive since then! The only reason I kept reading this is because I'm that guy. You know that guy! who's nuts about Star Wars/Trek, except it's Buffy for me.

This issue has not much in the way of content. Angel dies, but the W&A senior partners don't want him to die, so they revert the time line before it all went to hell, but everybody retains the memory of it all, Angel's a celebrity, Connor's alive again  and Wesley can't come back. That's the story, stretched needlessly to 22 pages. It's all fine and dandy, except Angel was dying like 5 minutes ago, talking to Cordelia, and none of the senior partners gave a rat's ass about him. Now he's suddenly too important to die.

The day they broke away  from the story to tell about the first day, is the day they killed the story. And then they thought to stretch  it to 3 more issues. *sigh*
