It seems like Snyder has finally established these main characters enough to actually care when they conflict with each other’s lives and personalities. It is about time the ball got rolling. I can actually say that I’m excited to see what will happen next month after seeing this climatic surprise ending. That is something I haven’t ever said about this title. It seemed up to now I was just picking it up because I loved everything else Snyder is doing at the moment so I might as well get this too. I’m so glad that it is picking up steam on its own now

Story: 4 - Very Good

  1. I know art is subjective, but how can you give Albuquerque a 3? Maybe your scale is harsher than mine, I suppose. Other than that, good review. I agree, things definitely just got more interesting.

  2. Thanks for not spoiling the ending! I’ve been waiting a long time for this moment to come and I think Snyder is probably happy he doesn’t have to carry that huge can of worms around with him anymore. I’ve been reading this before I knew “Scott Snyder” (issue 1 actually) and it has consistently been one, if not my favorite book every month. This arc is great and is looking like the turning point in the series. And I agree with Turd, Albuquerque is always 4 or better, especially with the scene where he juxtaposed the unsleeving of the record with the…you know…GENIUS!
