Scott Snyder is a genius. I believe that is a blanket statement that can be made throughout the industry, and it is most evident in this series. I have just recently caught up on my American Vampire (also reading Survival of the Fittest) in time for this issue, and I was extremely satisfied. Rafael Albuquerque’s art was suberb as usual, but the best part of this book was Snyder’s character development. Those of us reading the series have watched these characters, Skinner and Pearl particularly, grow throughout these 18 issues, and I can’t wait to see where the series goes from here. There are some unexpected turns, some heartbreaking moments, and an end that proves that this is far from the end of American Vampire. Keep up the phenomenal work, Scott!
