That May story at the beginning was very sweet. It was nice seeing how May and Ben got together in a way that wasn't done for shock value (see Trouble).

I remember enjoying the Roger Stern run on Spiderman immensely, he had a good balance between action (the Juggernaut story is probably my favorite straight up Spiderman story) and quiet moments (c'mon he did the kid who loved Spiderman). This issue was obviously just a quet moment, but it was done so well.

I absolutely hated Val Semieks' art on faces in this book. His Peter was too wide in the face and even had a dimple in the chin. He looked like a movie star from the 30s. Really didn't care for it.

I enjoy getting little snippets of of Spidergirl, as I'm not overly enamored by the character, but there is a classic Lee Ditko era vibe to how it's written, with the emphasis on family and May overcoming long odds and her getting blindsided from unseen quarters.

 As for little Petey, it is always fun to see Fred Hembeck doing Brother Voodoo.
