Man, I was hoping for more Colleen Coover, instead we got some
knock off for our Amazing Spider Ma’am story. It isn’t the same with
out her drawing cut little pugs and what not. Over all this was a fun
issue. ASMF is never a necessity, but it still has its moments. It got
me to start reading Spidergirl again, and that is a lot of fun. I knew
who L. Lincoln was, so the last page of that story wasn’t too much of a
surprise. I liked the Jackpot story, but death as a bar or a waiting
room is becoming a little more cliche with each time it happens. The
last story with Pete stuck in the elevator was sweet, but I still think
he should have gone for the interview. Just because he didn’t apply
doesn’t mean that she’ll get the job, y’know? All in all the art was
fine, but it would have been awesome with some Coover stuff.
