I usually hate stories involving the Jackal. Dan Slott has tap into why Spider-man is the must fun comic book there is. First MJ convinces Peter Parker not Spider-man to do something, then we get great one-liners from random Spider-Powered New Yorkers. Jameson deputizes most of the city and puts NYC on quarantine. Anti-Venom, Venom both appear, not to mention Avengers and X-men. This is a great event story, without the angst! Ramos’ art is great although a lot of oval shaped bodies. Slot also explains organic web shooter and why Peter doesn’t use them a lot. I can’t wait for the next issue! One question though, who is the Number 6? Also why doesn’t iFanboy have a 4.5 rating?

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

Comments

  1. I agree great event. You can tell that this is more of a Peter Parker story then a Spider-Man story.

  2. Spiderman does no longer have organic web shooters. This issue stablish that in some point in time he did have them. Wich is new for this continuity,

    • I know that make me wonder what happen to them and the powers he gain from the ‘other’ story line.
I read some where that Slott said that the power comes and goes.
